Northwest Motorcycle School

Dear Flo,
Thank you for registering for our upcoming Advanced Motorcycle Operator Course. The dates for your class are September 10th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th. Beginning at 6:30 PM September 10 we will hold a two hour orientation session at Mick Kelley’s Pub in the Renton Motorcycle (RMC) building prior to the actual riding portion of the class. During this session, we will take care of administrative business, discuss the course rules and review the theory behind the techniques you will be taught. Please be on time. If you have any difficulty finding Renton Motorcycles (see the attached map) or have other difficulties please give us a call at 503-267-4615
The location of the course is marked on the map attached to this email. There is a locked gate at the facility. There may not be a guard. If you arrive early, please give us a call and we’ll open the gate for you. Class hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with an hour break for lunch. We take hourly breaks and provide water (and normally coffee prior to class). There is a cooler available and you are welcome bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. You will need to provide us with documentation showing that you are either endorsed to ride motorcycles or have a motorcycle instruction permit. Please bring this documentation with you to the classroom portion of the course. You will need a helmet, gloves, eye protection, sturdy over-the-ankle boots, and a sturdy jacket (preferably leather or ballistic nylon; heavy denim at a minimum). This is the Northwest, so rain gear is also advisable.
The curriculum is both physically and mentally demanding. It is important that you make every effort to avoid distractions during your time with us. If there are temporary personal or physical problems or limitations during the class, notify an instructor immediately.
This nationally recognized curriculum will be one of the most valuable and satisfying training experiences you will ever go through. You will learn skills that will allow you to more safely and thoroughly enjoy the sport of motorcycling.
Our school and instructors are dedicated to keeping our students safely rolling along.
We appreciate your interest in our program and look forward to seeing you on the course!
Sincerely,
Ed Melroy
