More advice!

You can definitely put my address out on there. If you're feeling you don't have time to make that transition, it's almost certain that you have "late head and eyes". (yup that is what MM says)
When an operator is having that problem, I have them first try looking two full gates ahead. This gets them looking ACROSS the next gate (you're no doubt noticing a theme here). The other tool that can help is to follow another rider through the exercise. It accomplishes the same thing, because you'll be looking at the other rider's head, rather than the cones. If you have a good imagination, picture a rider a few seconds ahead of you in the exercise. The advantage is it gives you "flowing" head and eyes, rather than point-to-point.
